The American Association of Feline Practitioners (AAFP) developed the Cat Friendly Practice (CFP) program to help support your cat's ongoing health care needs.
The CFP program was created to reduce the stress associated with the visit, increasing the quality of care provided, and supporting the veterinary team with information about cats' distinct needs, behavior, and body language.
Designated "cat friendly", selected veterinary practices have proven they have taken specific extra steps to assure they understand a cat's unique needs and have implemented feline-friendly standards.
The CFP certificate on a veterinarian's wall has to be earned. The practice must meet a comprehensive checklist of performance criteria to verify that staff members are especially qualified and dedicated to making each visit as pleasant and beneficial as possible for you and your cat.
